Michael Mann chopped general direction and a script really stop wandering what could have been a great movie. Mann is obsessed with the music of the time and although sometimes it does create a pleasant environment, also extends to several unnecessary scenes, because the length of it. The script is in great detail in some areas of the life of Ali, but left other areas strangely overlooked. For example, a lot of time is devoted to his father, while almost none is devoted to the relationship between Ali and Joe Frazier, who many regard as his greatest enemy, the more interesting foil, and Ali the greatest triumph, however, the thriller in Manilla is not even mentioned. In the end, it works to some extent thanks to a wide range of excellent results, including Jamie Fox, Jada Pinkett Smith, Ron Silver, Mykelti Williamson, Jeffrey Wright, and, above all, Jon Voight and Mario Van Peebles. The last two historical figures portrayed in their own right and give scope to the men deserve, while being deferential to Ali. Finally, Will Smith gives the best performance of his career to date and continues to grow as an actor as well supplant Ali while creating an imperfect but larger than life that the man becomes a legend. |
Where to start. Lights, Camera, Action and proposals slow and that's it, unfortunately. There is something to be learned about Hollywood biographical Ali Biography is that you have to show something that the public has not seen before. The reason for the appeal of films like this is that under the skin of the person in question, see what happens behind closed doors. What was really as Ali was in fact more than the public, rude, arrogant, conceited, but that really big fight or was a sad and dimensions. Unfortunately, after seeing this hole-a-thon, I can only assume it was boring. They have clearly demonstrated that his childhood and decent in his later years, this would have been much more interesting, and could have cut the most boring and long fight scenes. I'm sure everyone already knew the outcome of the fighting anyway. For some strange reason, the Ali film also results in a short biography of Malcolm X, and generally return to the top of the civil rights struggle of black Americans. All this is very interesting, but it has done to death and please keep it out of a DivX film Ali about Ali. I can not say Will Smith was anything but just right, never had I believe that it was not Will Smith. 3 / 10. |
Will Smith as Ali is absolutely wonderful, gives a performance to remember, along with Jamie Foxx for Ray and Tom Hanks in Forrest Gump, the others are excellent, another good performance from Jamie Foxx, and, of course, is Jon Voight big. I must say that variety is a lot of topics, especially in the script, usually try not immediately be writing some of the things that Malcolm X and Ali, said or did. The indications even almost as amazing as that act, but again Michael Mann is one of the best directors of our time, and almost all his films have been great and has not been bad. If you liked Ali, you should see, Ray, and Gladiator, are two great films. |
