Tobe is about 16, living with her dad and younger brother in LA's San Fernando Valley. She invites a gas station attendant named Harlan to come to the beach with her and her friends. He's from South Dakota, wears a cowboy hat, talks country, and has been a ranch hand. They have a great time, his simple expressions seem like wisdom, he's attentive and polite, and even though he's more than twice her age, she wants to spend time with him. When her father objects, she rebels. Harlan, meanwhile, thinks she's his soul mate, and he starts making plans to get her away from her father. Worlds are set to collide, but which ones?

The DVD movie Down in the Valley of the first 45 minutes to an hour is slow, but not without purpose. It sets the stage, allowing Norton to do what he has done well throughout his career, but outlines, builds, defines and justifies the actions of his character, so in yet another strong effort and simply amazing performance. Norton, in my humble opinion, is probably doing the same thing three decades from now. He may be American Michael Caine, moving between the man and the main actor on the scene of the robbery DivX film Down in the Valley and then a level of performance that rarely dipped below "in place." Evan Rachel Wood, while hardly extends beyond its petulant, rebellious teenager person makes a very credible, as Rory Culkin as the little brother of wood. David Morse as a brooding, explosive and understated as always, is solid in his role as the wood a little predictable, but no less real father. This is a smart, prepared, and the satisfaction that the Down in the Valley Romance offers. Once again, it takes a while to start, but that proves its worth.
Down in the valley of rocks Wow Edward Norton re-screen game with a cowboy very subtle and layered performance. Nicely shot and is the four main characters are original, and yet painfully familiar in their alienation, anger and despair. The character played by Rory Culkin, "Twig," says very little throughout the film, yet it conveys a sense of longing and loneliness almost too painful to bare. But even he undergoes a transformation for the unexpected end of the film. Lead is a beautiful creature of the screen. His relationship with the cowboy seemed unlikely at first and then became totally credible, especially in the scene in the bathtub. If the love that really enjoy the independent artistic quality of this movie. There are also several scenes that border on surrealism. This Down in the Valley Romance film will leave you thinking and wondering about his life, is not that what we always hoped for after leaving the cinema. My vote is 8 out of 10.
This Down in the Valley film really had a great start. That had the potential to become a really great romantic love story with the DVD movie Down in the Valley that showed the love between "Harlan" in Being and Time, poetic and idyllic scenes. I really do not need to be more than that, and for a moment, I became excited that someone is finally making a beautiful DVD movie Down in the Valley for its own sake, another classic, perhaps a modern myth. Why, oh why, then mess up the middle, making the main character (Norton) another psycho? Maybe I'm missing the point, but do we really need another Down in the Valley Romance film about psychos? Or is this need in Hollywood to portray the sick side of human nature indicative of a more general malaise in the DivX film Down in the Valley industry? For a moment there I was going to make a mental note of the director's name, now leaves me indifferent. At least it should be added in the defense of the film, all the players seem to invest in their duties. Moreover, Evan Rachel Wood is truly a beautiful sight and a good actress with great potential.
