| .. the winner is ... Ben Kingsley in Sexy Beast, hands down (and panting to four). Ben also won the prize for best (and most creative) use the "c" word, which plays an important role in this outrageous and totally insane, always entertaining (even in its bloody) bombast front of a DVD film Sexy Beast . The argument could not be simpler: retired gangster Gal (yes, that's his name) is happy lounging around the pool at his villa in Spanish with the woman of his dreams and a drink in hand. But the great evil bulldog brutal Don (Kingsley) is sent to convince him to make one last job. Girl says no. Donnie does not like that answer. Violence ensues. To say anything else would be a disservice, the DivX Movie Sexy Beast has to be experienced, not explained. Suffice to say, the brilliant performances (Ray Winstone and Ian McShane, in particular) and surprisingly slick editing make every second of a kinetic Sexy Beast incursion into surrealism and a tour de force of epic proportions for Kingsley. So why are there still sitting bloody steam c ***?!!! Go rent it now. |
| I like this masterpiece of Stanley Kubrick Full Metal Jacket "for two reasons. One of them is that they share similarities in that you are not sure that it is okay to laugh at the content and second, each film: Sexy Beast is divided into two halves, the slight change of pace after the main characters die. Glazer has managed to add a touch of class even if not Kubrick. The second half of Sexy Beast and cargo remains the death of Don flashbacks keep the pulse of the audience pumped. Ben Kingsley was born for this role. He was robbed of an Oscar. Try this and see Gandhi back, then you will see what a great actor. One of the best ever. Ray Winstone is perfect and the two of them complement each other very well together as a type of steroid and sun-induced Odd couple. Don Logan is absolutely appalling that I could take over if I was not laughing so much more acurrucaron every time I watch. The scene in the kitchen with Gal in firing Don gown and it looks like a very annoying soccer coach to express his disappointment at his star player. It's so impressive the actors do not seem that they are acting and fear worldwide, but the face of Don says this. The location of Glazer is impressive as the soundtrack and production. This movie: Sexy Beast is a masterpiece. Anyone who sees it can not go back to my three children and listen to Neil Diamond and Ponce. |
| At first, I thought this was just a poor man "Snatch" with nature cinematography, dark humor and brutal characters and language .... but not as good as the best-known film. Well, actually I started this movie, at best, equally, if not more, "Snatch." The more I see "Sexy Beast", the most exciting it gets, and it was very interesting the first time! And, in less than an hour and a half is even more watchable. It is also a good idea to play with English subtitles, unless you can understand the strong British accent, and may interpret the slang words. Ben Kingsley, as a sociopath "Don Logan," is incredibly intense and almost got my jaw dropping to see him here. "Intense" does not even begin to describe this kind. Ian McShane is another kind of weird here as "Teddy." These two guys that the initiative characters, two couples find normalcy. The four offenders are retirees and their wives, who now lives the easy life in Spain. Easy, that is, until Logan comes and wants one for another job. The retiree who wants to stay, but Logan is not a man who has "no" for an answer. This is a movie: Sexy Beast you will not forget. Warning: This is rough, crude and funny. Expect much of the "f" words and "c" word. We also expect an exciting 89 minutes. |
