Vietnam vet Travis Bickle is 26, a loner in the mean streets of New York City, slipping slowly into isolation and violent misanthropy. Great atmosphere and outstanding performances by DeNiro, Foster and Albert Brooks, but this film: Taxi Driver is neglected too many loose ends. I never really explained or expanded to the friction between African Americans and Travis in the Taxi Driver film ... the suspect, such as trance staredowns black characters are never developed. The end is totally out of place and the incredible ... Travis started the shooting ... he never would have been hailed as a hero and vigilante in the real world would have been tried for murder. Deeply disturbed protagonist is the girl in the end? Come on. What is all that. Also, never explained why Palentina to become his obsession just make a mark in this world? Travis had always expressed a desire to clean the scum ... and I understand the symbolic link of a pimp with a politician, but the association is neglected in the movie: Taxi Driver because he always admired Travis Palantine even after their date with Betsy disaster. There was never a turning point for him or events in which the candidate became the target of social dissatisfaction. And then there is the matter of Travis' hair. I know it seems small but it's very distracting to see scenes that obviously were fired as soon as the shaven headed DeNiro in hair grew barely enough to go for continuity with the earlier scenes. Overall, I like this movie. I think it is powerful and disturbing, but it is not an icon or a masterpiece. In his day, was so revolutionary that many of its shortcomings was a pass. 7out 10

This could have been only a "good" movie, but the interpretation of De Niro does a very good outside. the first half of the Taxi Driver Drama movie that was still waiting for something. there are some scenes that could not be in good taste that one or the other. to be honest, I expected more from Scorsese on the film, but my expectations for Robert De Niro have been met. so I think that De Niro "saved" the Taxi Driver Drama film with his interpretation. otherwise, I saw a little pale Cybill Sheppard, a very convincing and Harvey Keitel. I like the atmosphere created in "taxi", the theme is really well these days. Well done, Robert!
