| This is really one of the best movies I've seen for a long time. It is superbly acted by all, and makes brilliant use of places really allows the viewer to understand and appreciate the beauty of the Lake District. I normally would have been more skeptical about the casting of an actress in a supporting role as Beatrix Potter. However, Renée Zellweger is a good actress and embrace this role so well that I have no hesitation in this area, although I did read a comment that says Emily Watson (Millie) Beatrix would have done better - and I completely agree that it would have been wonderful (I mean there is not enough for all British actresses?), but I could not fault Renée Zellweger. One thing that was nice to see good support British cast, one of which did not put a foot wrong. The story was too brilliant script with a good mix of reality, fiction, innocence, romance and touches of fantasy. The DVD film Miss Potter really only left me smiling - is a great reminder of what we are going to the theater. |
