After Zeus fights and sends the Titans to the underworld, he becomes the ruler of Mount Olympus, home of all greek gods. Hades is sent to rule the underworld, but he makes plans to throw Zeus out of Mount Olympus with the Titans' help. The three Fates warn him that his plans would be endangered if Hercules, Zeus newborn child, is still around by the time he tries to take over Mount Olympus. Hades sends Pain and Panic to turn Hercules into a mortal and kill him, but they fail in their attempt and leave him on earth with his divine strength to be raised as a human. Hercules grows up but later learns he is the son of gods, and in order to return to Mt. Olympus he must turn into a 'true hero'. He is trained by Phil the satyr and becomes the most famous hero in ancient Greece after battling monsters of all kinds. He even saves Mt. Olympus from Hade's take-over, but he only becomes a god again after he offers to exchange his life in order to save Meg, his love, from Hades' underworld and shows that a true hero must have a strong heart and not only physical strength.

Oh my God, I can not believe people complain about this movie. Surprisingly high art, jazz music and great characters. I'm 14 and first saw this Hercules movie at 5. I liked the movie: Hercules and then absolutely love it now. I love the songs and although it is not true to the mythology, so what? The DVD movie Hercules is to get it! Shesh! This DVD film Hercules has lots of bad reviews, but nobody has looked good? The characters in this Hercules Adventure film are great. Hercules is a great and adds some laughs Phil. The villains in this story soo add much humor. Hades, the pain and panic add soo many laughs and James Woods is perfect for Hades, which is one of the best villains yet! Megara (or Meg) has to be the best heroine of all Disney films. For it is not a search for love, is independent (which can tie their sandals and all) and can defend their leader. Do not let anyone push her around. I think Susan Egan did Meg's voice perfectly. Honestly I just want to say that this Hercules Adventure movie is ideal for adults and children and the songs are unforgettable.If you have not seen the video go to the store and rent! You will not be sorry!

I loved Hercules and not just because my son was a voice in it (.. Kellen Hathaway child) was fun, fast and brilliant! I loved the Muses and Meg .. and Tate Donovan is hot! I thought using Charleston Heston was brilliant as the narrator, James Woods and Danny DeVito shook as hell could not have been better! The animation is great .. Disney has created best in a while! I think it's better than the Little Mermaid and THO musically Robin Williams is a scream as the genius Hercule ALADIN I liked everything much better. I smiled and laughed and sang the Muses in Hades. It is a wonderful Hercules Adventure film all recommended to all!

wow! This DVD movie Hercules was really a pleasant surprise! I went to the theater expecting another pair below the Disney DVD film Hercules (like Pocahontas and Hunchback), but proved to be the most fun and enjoyable from Aladdin (The Lion King was good, but there is nothing contradictory between Timon and Pumbaa and Genie)! And a good laugh from a Disney cartoon is just what I needed. You should only see this movie!
