| Gosh. Where to start? Everything in this movie: House of 1000 Corpses was bad: the script, direction, acting, the sets, and even makeup. This DVD movie House of 1000 Corpses was not scary ... at all. Despite what I expected, even the category. It had some gore, but was rather tame. The only positive I can say about it is a character named Dr. Satan seemed very well. It was very original could have been awful in a House of 1000 Corpses film different. However, this does not deal with the previous hour and a half of silly dialogue, cheap scares, and more puzzlingly bad last half hour of a DVD film House of 1000 Corpses I've seen in quite some time. This House of 1000 Corpses Horror film loses its mark completely. Sorry, Rob Zombie (but did better with the sequel). |
| Definitely a tribute and a combination of both Texas and Ripoff hills have eyes a little and not see Moon Witch thrown into the basement, and as such it is difficult to really like or dislike this film. It's been seen before, nothing is really original, and that ends up being too much of a hodgepodge, and only spends too general. There is a very important element to the left here, and who is the protagonist of which has gone to the limit and become a mental battle scars nemesis of those seeking to destroy. Zombie changed something in this sequel to the twisted lawman Wydell seeking revenge for the murder of his brother. In fact, this is one of those rare cases where the sequel, Devil's Rejects, is much better than the first. |
| I read the review by MA Rogers (docrog@sprynet.com) and still not see the point of this movie. Zombie should stick to making music video is just like this DVD film House of 1000 Corpses a music video with long history, with only a simple background light, personality or mood (the gas station clown). Fine, who is well filmed and not well with the players that were given, but this has nothing beyond the fact that the story is not existent and the scenes were ripped out of countless better films. The attempt to surrealism that has been done many times before and much better than this mish-mass. All I can say is Zombie tried to be smart, shocking, surreal, etc., but all he has achieved is a lot of value calluses. If it had been able to give a score of 0 for this DVD movie House of 1000 Corpses would have been very kind. The only reason I have seen the whole House of 1000 Corpses Horror movie was in the vain hope that the end was going to change my mind and give credence to the story, instead of ripping off the "Alice" and go places we've been before 1000 times. Avoid this movie: House of 1000 Corpses at all costs and I just pray that does not become a "cult classic" as it surely does not deserve that title. |
| When I voted for this film, I was hoping that IMDB has a 0 or negative stars. This was one of the worst pieces of shit that I set in my eyes. If I had paid (borrowed the DVD) to see this, I wanted my money. Rob Zombie who gave the money to do this ridiculous, poorly written, crummily directed, shot, edited and acted piece of shit to be seen again and again until they are crazy. This was undoubtedly one of the most pointless waste of DivX Movie House of 1000 Corpses ever! Even the original and very overrated Slaughter of Texas is better. Amaturish the best, absolute garbage at worst, only shows how far Hollywood has fallen. Not an ounce of originality in this useless waste of time and effort. Excuse me while I go see Night of the living dead and see a good movie. |
| I must admit that when I was sitting down to watch tonight, I was skeptical. While I was never a fan of director Rob Zombie of the brand of music, what I did with the hope to maintain its preference for the depraved would result in at least one horror House of 1000 Corpses Horror movie series B. I was wrong. It was something that perhaps as good taste and visual presentable as Rainn Wilson-fish. Now, in defense of the film, explains his goal of being deliciously Trashy (at least I hope that was the goal) but I found that after about 20 minutes, the poor acting stopped being funny, the direction of quality porn beyond laughter, and the House of 1000 Corpses film was by no means uninteresting. I am not a DVD film House of 1000 Corpses snob, but this House of 1000 Corpses movie was much worse than my already low expectations. I was expecting a movie: House of 1000 Corpses without substance, a lot of blood, poor performance, a highly suspicious options (which is driving away from a house full of crazy! Why the hell you leave the car?) And most importantly, a lot of amazing moments that make me jump out of my seat. This film, unfortunately, appears too old and not enough of the latter. If you ever found holding a copy of this at Blockbuster, because go and rent some porn. You'll find a DVD film House of 1000 Corpses with higher production values, better direction and twice in the plot. |
