| I had very low expectations when I rented this We Were Soldiers film and why should not I? This is the same man who directed Man In The Iron Mask (also wrote) and gave us historical monstrosities like Pearl Harbor and Braveheart. Soldiers were a sad We Were Soldiers Drama film is full of cliches and inept management. None of the characters feel empathy or pity for (thanks to some awful dialogue and poor acting) and his absolute confidence in the fact that it is supposed to be based on real characters, is to look cheap. We could have done much better. One of the most annoying in the habits of the film: We Were Soldiers has to be Wallace in the management of "spectacular" scenes. This title is not given lightly considering all the big films that have been made (Platoon, Hamburger Hill, Saving Private Ryan). I have not seen the We Were Soldiers Drama movie has devled so deep in the excitement of war. It mixes the intense action scenes with the return home the emotion of the loss of loved ones, so that leaves you breathless. If the soldiers shows the first battle in the Vietnam War, before the country boycotted before we knew we could not win the war, back to our professional soldiers, when he entered the hope and honor.
