Having retiring from the CIA, where he was an anti-terrorist operative, Jack Paul Quinn spends his days poolside at his house in Nice, France with his pregnant wife Katherine Rose Quinn. But international terrorist Stavros, an old enemy of Quinn's, has resurfaced, and the CIA wants Quinn to come out of retirement, and go after Stavros. Quinn reluctantly accepts the assignment. Quinn goes to Antwerp, Belgium and hooks up with flamboyant arms dealer Yaz, who has the newest fully-automatic weapons. With Quinn's assembled delta-force, an ambush is set for Stavros at a local amusement park. Stavros arrives, and greets his girlfriend...and his son. Quinn finds himself unable to shoot Stavros with his son. This moment of hesitation is costly, and Quinn's entire team is killed off in a shoot-out with Stavros' men -- a shoot-out in which Stavros's son and girlfriend are both killed. Quinn chases Stavros into a nearby hospital, and they battle it out in a nursery full of newborn babies. Quinn is knocked out cold, and Stavros escapes, vowing revenge on Quinn for the deaths of his son and girlfriend, not knowing that Quinn was not the agent who killed them. When Quinn comes to, he finds himself in 'The Colony,' a place where 'those who are too valuable to kill and too dangerous to set free' use their special skills around the world as 'the last line of defense against global terrorism.' Using virtual reality and mouseless-graphical-user-interfaces, they solve all the world's bombings, hijackings, and terrorist attacks. The only problem is that no one can ever leave The Colony. That's why Quinn's superiors tell Katherine that Quinn is dead. Not long after his arrival, Quinn finds evidence that Katherine is being targeted by Stavros, and so Quinn hatches an elaborate plan to escape from the Colony so he can protect Katherine. Once out of The Colony, Quinn hooks up with Yaz, and they learn that Stavros has kidnapped Katherine and taken her to Rome, planning to get revenge on Quinn through the baby, which Katherine has given birth to. Quinn and Yaz set out for Rome to rescue Katherine. It all comes to a head in a Roman coliseum in a showdown featuring a tiger, land mines...and the baby.

Double team is the third movie: Double Team that Van Damme has made an ex-HONG KONG-action Double Team Thriller film director. He has made "hard target" by John Woo and "High Risk" by Ringo Lam. Double team is led by Tsui Hark. Hark is excellent in directing the action scenes and Double Team is a good way for him to start in Hollywood. Van Damme plays agent Jack Quinn, and sent to kill super-terrorist Stavros, who is played by Mickey Rourke. Quinn does not, and therefore envoy sent to a place called "The Colony". "The Colony" is a place where the world's most dangerous terrorists and agents are sent. These agents and terrorists are too dangerous to freedom in the streets and too valuable to kill. Quinn escapes and goes after the colony Stavros revenge. Quinn is the help of Yaz, who is played by Dennis Rodmann basket stars. Double team is full of action and well-done martial arts scenes. However, it `s far from perfect. The whole plot is very silly, there are huge gaps and holes in the logic of history and Mickey Rourke is far from convincing as a villain. Double team isn `ta Double Team movie for everyone. Van Damme seems to be out of shape. `S but worth renting for a fan. But I have to say that "Knock Off" is better. Has this DVD film Double Team 7 out of 10.

I love Jean-Claude Van Damme, but I am also very realistic spectator. This is a problem in movies such as this comment is very subjective. I do not know, but I can not be objective with this film. Back in 1997. all I wanted for my birthday cassette was "Titanic" but I have "Double Team." I was kid and I remember I was very unhappy, but all that disappeared after I saw this DivX Movie Double Team for the first time. Jean-Claude Van Damme plays Jack Quinn, the fight against terrorism in its most recent mission of killing, Stavros (Mickey Rourke). Quinn is injured in this mission it sent to "The Colony", a revival of alleged assassins killed. Quinn manages to escape and seeks the help of Yaz (Dennis Rodman), an arms dealer. Quinn and Yaz should have the final battle with Stavros, who takes all personnel because Quinn blames the death of his son. This is a really great action movie: Double Team and I like that it was in Europe (Rome scenes are great). Van Damme is good as Quinn and Rourke makes a great villain; Rodman acting is pretty bad, but it's funny. Director Tsui Hark succeeded combined with a solid history and a lot of action made him one of my favorite movies JCVD. I really do not know why it has rating of 4.0, but I do not care. I love it every time I watch, so I had Van Damme is a legend and this is a DivX Movie Double Team that I will always maintain a pleasant memory.

Many people seem to forget that Van Damme is not trying to make a great movie. He does not usually worry about the plot or acting. He wants to make an action movie. That's the only reason you never see their movies and never fails to comply, even in this movie. Sure you cringe cursi active in the dialogue and when it happens, but the action sequences to make it completely. I also like when a Double Team movie has no place in the U.S. or Canada. I'm bored of it. This DVD movie Double Team is going to Antwerp and Rome. Very cool for the movie: Double Team setting. During all that was very satisfied. The director Tsui Hark (I have no idea how to pronounce that), it is always very reliable for a good action movie. It was a good action movie, people. Do not look over what it was.
