Terrorists take over a 747 bound from Athens to Washington D.C., supposedly to effect the release of their leader. Intelligence expert David Grant suspects another reason and convinces the military that the 'plane should not be allowed to enter U.S. airspace. An assault mission is devised, using a specially equipped 'plane designed for mid-air crew transfers, and Grant finds himself aboard the 747 with a team of military anti-terrorists who have to defuse a bomb and overpower the terrorists.

Action packed story of a group of commands that a board of 747 in mid-flight and try to overcome the terrorists who have taken control. Kurt Russell, the military interloper has to take charge of the situation in the absence of Steven Segal. Good entertainment and flaws aside, it is worth a look. Rating 6 / 10

What with Steven Seagal and Kurt Russell, I hope this action Executive Decision film that is filled with a lot of blow-ups and shooting and chaos. Not! this is a very suspenseful film. An Arab terrorists hijack a 747 jet with a very bad nerve gas. Kurt and his team in some way to board the plane (do not ask how) and the attempt to thwart the hijackers. Oliver Platt was good as an engineer / computer nerd type guy, and Halle Berry was well as the flight attendant. Kurt Russell one of the better recent efforts.
