In 1412, a young girl called Jeanne is born in Domremy, France. The times are hard: The Hunderd Years war with England has been going on since 1337, English knights and soldiers roam the country. Jeanne develops into a very religious young woman, she confesses several times a day. At the age of 13, she has her first vision and finds a sword. When coming home with it, she finds the English leveling her home town. Years after that, in 1428, she knows her mission is to be ridding France of the English and so sets out to meet Charles, the Dauphin. In his desperate military situation, he welcomes all help and gives the maiden a chance to prove her divine mission. After the successful liberation of Orleans and Reims, the Dauphin can be crowned traditionally in the cathedral of Reims - and does not need her anymore, since his wishes are satisfied. Jeanne d'Arc gets set up in his trap and is imprisoned by the Burgundians. In a trial against her under English law, she can't be forced to tell about her divine visions she has had continuously since childhood. Being condemned of witchcraft and being considered as relapsed heretic, she is sentenced to death. Jeanne d'Arc is burnt alive in the marketplace of Rouen on May 30th, 1431, at only 19 years of age.

Impact that this film: Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, The could have been ruined by boring and uninteresting script. Same old story with new actors, most of whom are unable to perform their duties. Jovovitch (Jeanne d'Arc) and pants very grunting every time rides a horse, and it seems incapable of speaking for most of the time (probably trying to express some strong emotions, but especially the listener to tune out before the second word). Whatever Dustin Hoffman did in this Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, The War movie is never explained. The final scenes with him explaining some things that occurred before this DivX Movie Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, The are the best offers (I was laughing), but that is not enough.
I found "Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc" to a Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, The War complex and urgent. I had just finished a brief history on Joan of Arc, a week before, so when I happened to this Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, The War on TV I was arrested. I found myself enraptured with the warm richness of photography in this film. Once my senses were in captivity, I was in history. I expected that the Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, The film is developed in a predictable, but no. Frankly, I was quite unpleasant for some added twists and experienced discomfort, but I continued to watch. Later, I realized how great this version of history is that I shook my complacency and made me think seldom trodden paths. Offers a good performance by Milla Jovovich. It is rare that a model of transition to act in a satisfactory manner, but basically I think Milla. She is able to communicate vulnerability in a very credible. I was surprised and pleased to see added dimension to the character, showing a core of steel passion and resolution. I recommend this DivX Movie Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, The for those who can tolerate and enjoy the unexpected in a DVD movie Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, The chew later.
Joan of Arc was a French peasant girl who believed that the messages received from God and that somehow was given control of an army in the Hundred Years War. How did this misfortune is not clear after seeing this big budget, but misfiring brilliant film. Unfortunately not all fronts: the court scenes are unconvincing, the battle scenes are obviously encrypted, while the trial scenes are anachronistic and simply hysterical. The dialogue is pretty rotten too, for example, each character is presented with a complete description of their attributes (eg "my brave archer, etc.). Milla Jovovich is quite out of their depth as Joan, over-emoting in each scene. The rest of the cast is much better, although the decision to use the Americans as the British and the French and the English sometimes makes you think that is a total war. While stylistically, the DVD movie Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, The is pretentious, incoherent, and ultimately boring. Beating even "Braveheart" for historical accuracy, "Joan of Arc" Ken Russell is like "The Devil", but not fatally DivX Movie Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, The a sense of fun. The release comes with only the final.
When God (Dustin Hoffman) challenges of Joan of Arc (Milla Jovanovich - spelling?) Understanding the search for a sword in the field, it does is say that the reality is what we see - not necessarily what is. Jean Paul Sartre is proud - Kirkegard would roll over in his grave. A young woman confused about her purpose in life could not lead to victory the French - God is not wishy washy about what we are called to do. But beyond the weakness of theology, which is an excellent DivX film Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, The - well written, great acting - even if you have Hoffman image of God. This story surrounding Joan of Arc in their quest to oust the British from the 15th century France to set up as King Charles VII of France. In the process his sister also comes rape and death at the hands of a British soldier. Joan possible self-doubt and confusion is well portrayed by Jovanovich. The good news is that there is nudity free. The bad news is there are a lot of blood and gore - but I've seen worse (like Saving Private Ryan. There is also much use of the F --- word that derives from the 17th century reason for punishment of those "In the case of illicit sexual relations." Therefore, the use of the word you think it is anachronistic. Although I liked the DivX film Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, The and recommend it to a mature audience. Andy Smith
Michael can understand that people love about this movie, because their views on Joan, saying it is terrible that they seem crazy and historical accuracy is so bad, but Michael sees no problem with this film. I say this not because my favorite actress stars in it, (Milla Jovovich), but because this is a very dramatic DivX film Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, The (which means good) and a thought in motion (if that makes sense to people). The combination of scenes, music and emotions really make you think it was for Joan. Who cares if the DivX Movie Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, The made her seem crazy. As far as I know it probably was. (with all due respect). But my point is that the DivX Movie Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, The is what you are trying to message, the different points of view. I do not think that the real Joan humble, in fact, I respect her more because of this movie. But if the film: Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, The that changed the views, I like the movement probably because most want to see something that you know everything about? That is why Luc Besson is a genius, and that's why this Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, The War is a MUST SEE. Michael has spoken.
This is not the best movie: Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, The by Besson. In fact, in many ways it is incredibly naive and superficial, even in their desire to look and sound great. Depth is not just political jargon diplomatic gibberish. And that kind of language that reduces the attitude of the French king to be king, and opportunism. And that kind of language that reduces the attitude of the bishop of Cochon servile no compromise. And that kind of language that reduces the attitude of the English vengeful cruelty. It is also very superficial, for ordinary people to reduce blind believers of all that sounds iffy, divine and a little crazy, like an army or a girl from the audience and hear divine voices. But all that should please many minds simple fact. It is a pity because the subject deserves serious film, a serious approach. Shakespeare forgot to write this book. Could have written a masterpiece on the subject. Besson writes only half an action movie, a kind of medieval Peplum film. I love this movie. I remember the reviews were harsh at the time of release is expected to review the matter. Personally always something Luc Besson, as the films are so beautiful to do with sweeping camera giving an epic feel, and this is no different. The mood contrasts well with some shocking scenes that the balance of the film: Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, The very well. Credit must also be taken into account all of the crew as apparel and attention to detail is fantastic. This is a Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, The film to get lost in (like any good film: Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, The in my opinion) and enjoy. Forget about historical events and enjoy cinema at its best. 8 / 10
