It moved slowly, historically inaccurate. His father was given a multimillion-dollar doll house to play. I'd rather spend a night with an IRS auditor or get my finger nails pulled out slowly. The historical inaccuracy was insulting. Marie Antoinette was not a victim. She was a frivolous, self-interested and incapable individual and queen. It was a failure in the communication of the source from which it was taken. The DVD film Marie Antoinette conveys nothing. It teaches nothing. It is absolutely pointless. It was like a big waste of time because it was a waste of celluloid.

Amazing how bad managers feel when they use are so cute pop songs. They get all excited about the idea of playing the producer and completely ignore the demands of the dramatic film. Marie Antoinette is a great example of the intellectual laziness of this approach. Instead of making the Marie Antoinette movie fresh and stimulating the use of popular songs, especially considering that this is a period piece, makes the Marie Antoinette Drama movie even more trite and boring then it already was. Add to that Kirsten Dunst is not really the best actress in the first place and you have another failure of Sofia Coppolla.
