"Scream 3" is as has been done solely for the cash, with no ideas behind it. The few surviving characters are back, but most of the Scream 3 Horror focuses on Arquette, whose characters have nothing new to cover or grow. The new characters are all very annoying and its agents operate in over-all possibilities (including Parker Posey). When one is down, you get a deep sense of lack of interest. Their names are all weak homage / parody. Neve Campbell goes into action too late. The biggest problem, however, is the writing. The script of the review of the trilogy is really little and uninspired, and his quote, reference, parody, tribute and other horror movies are minimal, weak and unimaginative. This is really the biggest step down because it was the main selling point of the first two films. The shift is also weak climax. The revelation that the murderer was a random selection of characters, without natural accumulation of it. The only worthwhile elements: 1) the new entry in cell phone technology to cover up the murderer, 2) flying the scene with a knife, which was the only creative parody of the clichés and conventions of film, 3 ) some vague tributes to the AIP and Roger Corman, 4) Lance Henrikssen always reliable. Meets the first two films.

Again, there are spoilers in this, stop reading now if you have not yet seen the Scream 3 Horror film (better yet, do not ever see the movie). This was by far the worst of the Scream trilogy. The first two were scary, funny and intelligent. This was horrible. Do not worry about any of the characters that died. Do not kill any of the main characters as Randy suggested in his video tape (if you've seen the movie, you know what I mean). The only good part is the video for Randy. I realized that Jamie Kennedy was the comic relief of the series, and the Scream 3 Horror movie may not have suffered in what was already dead. At least it was for the cameo. Jay and Silent Bob cameo was fun, now that I think about it. The DivX Movie Scream 3 was plotless generally not scared at all, and had the most disappointing ending I've ever seen. I mean, the whole "I am your brother" ending was contributed, and the last scene was too SAPPY. All I can think to say is ick. See the first two if you want intelligent satire of fear, if you want an example of what the first two were satarizing, see this.
