| This movie: Superman: Doomsday was good or maybe great for what it is, but feel short changed. The fight between doomsday was WOW! The funeral was EXCELLENT! The resurrection was good, but I was expecting to see the return of Superman after death the way it is depicted in the comic. There should also be shown Doomsday JLA demolish. I understand that this is only a'Superman history, but only had 5 minutes to Doomsday JLA demolish. Have expanded more Doomsday and the rest of 65 minutes would focus on Superman! Jimmy could have said: "My God, Lois, Doomsday JLA defeats in 5 minutes! How Superman on Earth will be defeated!" In the comic, there are four characters that appear to replace Superman. In the film: Superman: Doomsday there is only one ... a clone. Note in the comic is actually clone the cyborg, but I think the filmmakers wanted to change too. Overall, a very funny movie. This film: Superman: Doomsday is loosely inspired by the death and resurrection graphic novels. If you can accept that, then you'll enjoy it. I admit I did .... |
| I'm not a fan of the singer of Superman Returns, and sadly the last animated feature Superman "Brainiac Attacks" was so full of action, the characters became more pale. But in this case and the action scenes are well balanced. The lively Lex Luther is always much better than either version of the life-action. Clancy Brown Luthor gave voice to a dangerous pitch. I never thought it possible that James Marsters is in line to replace him. But he did so. Luthor is different somehow. More psychological, if desired. Bruce Timm and company did a good Superman: Doomsday Action film instead of a boring comic in the series 90. After this I'm looking forward to more movies with Bruce Timm. I also appreciate the other animated Batman Superman: Doomsday movie in that version and not Kevin Conroys crappy Batwave series. Ah yes ... this Superman: Doomsday Action is much better than the new Marvel animated features. Only the first was fine, Avengers, and must be excluded. |
| If your fan is not a comic, like you might be better than someone familiar with Doomsday (Superman dies) history, a lot of things missing from the comics, that is, it seems that Superman is the only hero Earth in this animated film, No Justice League or any other hero, perhaps due to licensing rights, as it is strange that the World Bank that owns DC comics, so not sure how licensing issues arise. The animation is so well, I liked the best animated Justice League, the animation seems Hodge Podger of different styles, some anime, some kind of animated Justice League, and about 80 'style, also Luthor in the animated television series seems much better indeed, this Luthor seems flat and killed for no reason, killing seemed contributed mercy, and give value to the crash. Also all of Superman's death appears flat, without the global reaction, of course, no superhero funeral possession, just minutes from the grave, etc., not only the emotional value to it, Superman is dead, here is his monument, OK on with the story, and his return seemed just as flat and just thrown together and resurrection clone ..
