| For the most part, "Grumpier Old Men" is pretty silly. Max Goldman (Walter Matthau) and John Gustafson (Jack Lemmon) are still in it's throat when Italian immigrant Maria Ragetti (Sophia Loren) comes to town and throw everything in the flow. What makes me more about the DivX Movie Grumpier Old Men was the way it looks different in this city one of the original. Obviously, this was a different time of year, but may look different is meant to show how it all might be changing in the city. Besides, Ann-Margret as Ariel is back, and is still as lively and free spirited as she was in the original. Burgess Meredith - in his latest role - remains the grandfather, who can exercise absolute authority in the young, although he now has the HOTS for the mother of Mary (Ann Morgan Guilbert, aka Millie on "The Dick Van Dyke Show"). Kevin Pollak and Daryl Hannah also reprise their roles from the original ... ah, and no fish. Overall, a pretty interesting movie. Not any kind of masterpiece, but it showed that Matthau and Lemmon still had it. |

Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau back in their twilight years struggling duo ever, but with the added attraction of Sophia Loren still looks beautiful for 60 years. She ends up a threat to their favorite bait and tackle shop when she decides to take over and turn it into an Italian restaurant. Since already Lemmon hot sexy Ann-Margret as his girlfriend, Sophie hits the air with old Matthau (ah, the magic of the movies), which does not look as good for his age (75). Burgess Meredith as used in this best in his role as a villain of the old pop Lemmon. |
| "Grumpier Old Men" is a fun sequel to the "Grumpy Old Men." Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau return as John and Max, the neighbors for a long time in this DVD film Grumpier Old Men have reconciled their friendship. Ann-Margret returns as Ariel, the new wife of John. This is Burgess Meredith as Lemmon's dad cornea, and also returned Åre Kevin Pollak and Daryl Hannah as the daughter of Lemmon and Matthau's son who are now devoted to one another and their parents to help them plan their wedding with some strange ideas . But the real scene stealer in "Grumpier Old Men" is the wonderful Sophia Loren as the new woman in Italian Wabasha, Minnesota. Loren plans to convert the grumpy old man's beloved bait shop into a 'restaurant' as she says. The grumps who do not like one bit and try to drive out of town, but ends up falling Matthau. It's great to see Loren have a chance to do comedy, and it receives its share of big laughs throughout the film. | It is a bad sign when the credits of a Grumpier Old Men movie are funnier than the Grumpier Old Men movie itself (especially when the Grumpier Old Men movie is said of a comedy). Grumpier Old Men suffering from this condition. If you sit through the movie, be sure to enjoy the credits, which contains some of the funniest outtakes I've ever heard. The DivX Movie Grumpier Old Men itself is not perticularly good or bad. More of the same from the first. The relations are not really explored, just more kooky hijinks of some old friends. |
| I rented both Grumpy Old Men and Grumpier Old Men back to back, so I could see, so instead of renting a normal sequel to both my experience. I just finished this morning Grumpier Old Men are expected to be modest sequel, but it became a great sequel, almost to the point where I enjoyed a Grumpy Old Men Grumpier Old Men. Despite the fact that they use some old jokes, a plot was funny and I thought the guys had even fun, including the father of John, it's a little dirty, but so much fun to laugh. John and Max are now best friends again and can not be happy with each other, their son and daughter is about to get hitch, and they are overwhelmingly against plans for the wedding. Max is starting to arrive, but lonely, because Chuck has gone on, the bait shop is two older Italian women, a lady, Mary, began a small feud with Max wanting to turn the bait shop a restaurant. But his anger became a passion and end up hiding in the head for one another priest, but Maria has hidden skeletons in its closet. Grumpier Old Men is proof that you are never too old to fall in love or have your heart broken again. It was so sweet to see Max falls in love with Mary, I loved their passion for each other, it was so fun. The father of John and Mary the mother were so awesome and fun, which had much chemistry! I would recommend Grumpier Old Men, is a great comedy that touches your heart again and humor tickles. 8 / 10 |
| Some people see this as an inferior sequel to the first DVD movie Grumpier Old Men "Grumpy Old Men." I disagree, I love the first but I think this is as good and in some ways .. even better than the original. Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon comedy are my favorite team. Fortune Cookie is a classic, also love "Buddy Buddy" and "The Odd Family, Parts 1 and 2 but Grumpies have a special place in my heart. Personally, I hope another film: Grumpier Old Men Grumpy but unfortunately we lost both of these wonderful stars that never happens. At least we will always have to enjoy these excellent films and treasure. I have on DVD and watch regularly .. never let you touch my heart and make me smile. |
