| This Moving McAllister film had so much potential to be hilarious yet moving, but fell short of one. He had a great story simply was not done as good as could have been. The strange "hallucinations" during the scenes of his dream come absolutely no sense and certainly not needed, which made no impact and improve or provide any understanding of what was to come or happen. Jon Heder character was good but could have been expanded further. He played the crappy hand he was at his best. The character was fun, but again, at the height of what could have been. Mila's character was perfect and his performance was spot on. In conclusion, the writing was horrible and most of the cases, meaningless and hallucinations did not fit with the film: Moving McAllister at all. This film, with script and better direction could have been a contender for National Lampoon's Vacation as far as funny, bad things happening to a person on a journey across America. Instead, it was only worthy of a second "flush". If I had seen in the theater, I have asked my money back and boycotted the film. The only thing this Moving McAllister movie did was waste an hour and a half of my life. Also managed to make everyone involved in the Moving McAllister Comedy looks bad, simply because the Moving McAllister film was a stink. I do not recommend this DVD film Moving McAllister to anyone! Ever! |
| If only the writer / producer / star "had the slightest idea of the limits of their range, and how it is perceived on the screen (use of goggles and a face-starting is not enough to make you look gawky and odd if his face and teeth have been sculpted by various medical professionals to comply with American ideals of generic, characterless symmetry wrongly perceived as the beauty in this superficial society obsessively) would cast John Heder as the main character instead of trying to pull a good hunting and the desire to create a vehicle to show their ... its ... well, himself. The excellent supporting cast (Lord knows, they have trouble accepting this) is wasted in an agonizing struggle for life to respond convincingly to a character unable to deliver even the simplest with proper intonation, and believe me, it is not below simple lines to choose from, the dialogue seems to have been composed by a period of five years of age. Oh, wait ... is the same person who pretends to be a writer who pretends to be an actor. It is not often that I do not see a movie: Moving McAllister until the end, but ejaculation was hopeless from the outset and showed no signs of improvement after the first hour. Excrement. |
| This Moving McAllister movie was made because the concept translates well into a sentence, a summary of two that can be used to attract investors. That is, the premise is interesting and salable. I mean, that rent on the basis of the synopsis. The problem is that there is nothing beyond the initial concept. There is no coherent argument, not a full-fledged characters, no comedy, no interesting scenery, with no surprises, and without good results (except Jon Herder, something that makes very little). It is as if the people who green lit this thing never read the script, but only the summary. And if enough people like me, you might even have made money. | Based on the Rotten Tomatoes score low to expect little from this film. Perhaps it is a testament to the likability of its stars Mila Kunis and Ben Gourley, but I found myself laughing more than a couple of times during this road trip movie. The production value and cinematography are definitely a cut above. Sometimes I worry that some self-indulgent films like this can attract such talented production crews when perhaps most important, but less trendy stories never see the light of day. Still, I like escapist fare and this is sometimes difficult to really put a value on art. If you are having a slow night, this will be an entertaining diversion. |
| I was very happy with the options of a smelter. Everybody did their part, seem very comfortable. Our two players had very good chemistry. The characters were intermittent and insufficient attention to detail that you will remember easily. It was fun to follow through all the characters in their adventures. Most of the plot is based on humor, but there were also some dramatic elements that the family was well balanced. Some of the jokes were crude, but funny. Is easily avoided language and situations inappropriate for making this film: Moving McAllister an easy choice for adolescents. Can not wait for the DVD! |
