| Despite Pulp Fiction (which Avary co-wrote) has been seen as a prime example of its kind, Killing Zoe actually did better. There are many reasons for my opinion, the most important of which is much more interesting in the cast (which created an incredible hue) and the setting of the film: Killing Zoe (a mysterious and invisible version of Paris, which has much more fascinating facets of urban Louisiana Pulp Fiction). If you have not seen yet ... check it out. If you've seen and dismissed it, check it out again. Anyway - it's a great trip. |
| You can completely skip the first boring and completely annoying hours to go to the second half. The drama that is really lame. They try to spice it with controversial topics (AIDS, prostitutes), but ultimately it is only to cover the lack of good ideas for an action movie. Of a poorly executed drama that suddenly becomes a nice gangster comedy as Reservoir Dogs. All of the leads only to rob the bank and the dark humor that goes along with it. Well, it is a bit cliché, but who cares ...? This Killing Zoe film is not world class but good enough for a boring Saturday eve. Just do not see too many expectations. And I do not think that anything produced by Tarantino does in Pulp Fiction a new, it does not. |
| Roger Avary's "Killing Zoe" tells the story of a failed bank robbery with the following taking of hostages, but the plot itself is more important, more interesting is how the director executed the whole affair: the gangsters riffraff a pot of fans and smokers, the talks once again feature a load grouped dirty language, which is not surprising when you know that Quentin Tarantino is the executive producer of this movie. Eric Stoltz, an actor, which can always find something wrong, it's hilarious to repeat his "Pulp Fiction"-part, however, the talent of Julie Delpy is quite lost, and only show ass and tits no character role! The biggest appearance, Jean-Hugues Anglade as Eric Banda permanently doped lead in a performance almost unbelievable cool! I also like the unusual camera angles and slow motion confrontation! Maybe not as big as the original DivX Movie Killing Zoe by Tarantino, but still a fun movie! 8 out of 10 !!!!! |
