After an airplane trip, a young woman asks Susie's husband, Sam, to keep a doll for her to avoid spoiling the surprise of her daughter's gift. But the real reason is to avoid her partner, Harry Roat, whom she hopes to cheat of the drugs hidden in the doll. Harry discovers her treachery, murders her and leaves the body in Susie's apartment, where he has tracked Sam and the doll. He concocts an elaborate plan, involving Mike and Carlino, small-time hoods, to get Susie, who recently lost her sight in a fire, to reveal the doll's hiding place. They lure Sam away and take advantage of Susie's blindness, posing as an old friend, a police detective, and a father-son pair of eccentrics. Susie eventually catches on and, with the help of her young neighbor, Gloria, shows everyone that she is indeed 'a world-class blind lady.'

One of my favorite movies, terrificly Audrey Hepburn portrays a blind woman who unkowingly has a doll that was hidden inside of heroin and three men who will do anything to get it again. A great script and cast Alan Arkin, who plays a wonderful villain who proves you can play well in a thriller and comedy. In any case you must see this movie: Wait Until Dark

Never in my life have I seen flying 800 people from its seas, as I did the night I saw wait until dark DVD film Wait Until Dark in 1970. And I was there with them. Moaning out in shock. Shouting! (and I do not shout) ............ In the period before the final 20 minutes of cinema management hit the lobby doors, turn off all lights in a hallway by an entire film, and presented the volume; Creepiness waves washed over the audience and then .... .... Whammer! The noise of the audience, shouting and moving about in our seats ..... I have not heard noises like that caught in a theater since. Do yourself a big favor ........... get the DVD and watch at home, alone, in total darkness! You will scream their heads and tell everyone you know what a great thriller this is.

I loved this DVD film Wait Until Dark as a mystery / thriller.It 's excellent and very well acted directed.Audrey Hepburn is really convincing as a blind woman and I love the performance of Alan Arkin as a cold-blooded ending is a real killer.The rollercoaster of emotions and suspense. So if you like the genre check out this atmospheric mystery / thriller.

I was surprised. The story was great, kept me riveted, and the characters are well developed. It is obvious that both thought and imagination put into it. He was good, the pace was not so fast as to lose the viewer, and the cinematography was well done. All these have one or two exceptions. But overall, it's a great movie. I highly recommend it.

Great little gem that, for the most part, is the test of time very well! Audrey Hepburn is cast as a beautiful blind woman victim of three perverted. Alan Arkin is truly terrifying as the leader and his performance here ranks as one of the all-time big-screen villians. Young director masterfully handles the rhythm. Sequence is not actually longer than it should. Henry Mancini used a nice, quiet score that creates the proper tension as the Wait Until Dark Crime film builds to its classic confrontation. My favorite DVD film Wait Until Dark is, in my opinion, the use of lighting in the last sequence. Charles Lang uses a creepy, dimly bright red-orange light to illuminate the apartment after Suzie has destroyed all other bulb. The effect is a dark, nightmarish quality, and the scene seems to have been filmed yesterday. When you think of David Fincher here reworking the original concept of Panic Room is a really flattering comment to wait until the light in his possession and still be able to cool. It is also amusing to think that with all that impressive photography and film, the Wait Until Dark Crime movie does not have nearly half the tension of this classic 1967.

this is not a "great" movie, but it was very good. is amazing how you should use only enough of the apartment and the location just outside the van in a story so well woven to keep their interest throughout the journey and even increase in the final. Hepburn became a new woman as exceptionally blind from an accident. the Wait Until Dark Crime movie made you sit and look through their fear, trying to help her (by the thought in your head "is right behind you!" or something similar), and simply waiting for the bad comes to him. was not intense action packed as some believe that films have to be today to be good. this Wait Until Dark film is based mainly on creating suspense, and thrillers like many of today realize that all that blood and gore is not always necessary and sometimes (actually all the time) the story is what makes the difference. Therefore, we recommend this Wait Until Dark Crime film to anyone who just want to be entertained with good entertainment.

"Wait until dark" has endured for 23 years as one of the most frightening films ever made. Audrey is great as a blind woman who is harassed by three men trying to find an object in her apartment without her noticing. The cinematography is excellent, especially at the end when the audience is practically blind and beaten. A wonderful way to see in a dark night.
