It all begins in a small Oregon town, when shy Sam (RORY CULKIN) confesses to his protective older brother Rocky that he is getting pummeled daily by the towering school bully, George. Together, they plan the perfect payback, inviting George on a birthday river trip tailor-made to end in the bully's humiliation. Rocky's pals Clyde and Marty and Sam's budding girlfriend Millie also join the journey, which starts almost immediately with misgivings. Seeing George in a new light, as a lonely kid desperate for friendship and attention, Sam wants to call the whole thing off. But the boat and the plot are already in motion, and no one can foresee the surprises and accidents that are to come.

Creek is a Mean Creek Thriller film is amazing. It's so refreshing to see a good movie, when so many others around now worthless. There are many things of great half Creek, and some not so good things. The writing is excellent, the location is great. The act is so well done, it seems more real than half the "reality" television program on television today. The young actors who comprise Trevor Morgan, Ryan Kelley, Scott Melchowitz, Rory Culkin, Shroader Carley and Josh Peck. I was amazed by their performances. Something else that makes it so only Creek. This is the cinematography (sp?). Most of the film's action takes place in one day, in a stream. The shooting of the gorge is so beautiful, large doses of the same stream, water, forests around them, and there are some great pictures of animals that call the creek home. The purpose of half Creek is extreme and dramatic, which is another source of amazement to the young actors in this movie! The main theme revolves around the themes of forgiveness and revenge. The first five children in a simple plan for revenge on the bully trick, however, something terrible happens Åre all children are forced to make an extremely difficult task situiton in only a matter of minutes. The end is a bit ambiguous and open-ended. That, in my opinion is good in some ways, but would have liked more closure on the fate of children. I'm surprised by the lack of representation in the sample for the award for this picture. I truly believe that this DVD film Mean Creek underestimated and under light, because it is an indie debut and is one of the directors.

With a child cast, which has similarities to "Stand By Me." A group of children in the plot to pay back the school bully for years of abuse. Be taken in a boat trip. For more information, go see it. It was the best Mean Creek Thriller movie I've seen this year. Throughout the duration of this classic, one of the elements stuck by me: Carly Schroeder. She is going to be a star and a half. Blows it bothers cherry blossom, Dakota Fanning, away. Rory Culkin, younger brother of the Macauly was perfect for the part of an innocent child, subject to his older brother excessive testosterone. Go see this film, because talking about it for hours. Dinner perfect movie. Take your girlfriend, boyfriend, significant other. Children under 13 years, although portrayed in the film, simply are not ready for the material in this movie, so do not bring their children.
