| I read a lot of comments on Showtime at IMDb, and many seem to miss the mark. I noticed a large number of respondents calling the typical "friend" of cinema. De Niro is in no way Murphy friend for most of this movie. In fact, part of the comedy of the Showtime film De Niro is a reluctance to be friends with anyone. Murphy really shines here. He has returned to doing what he does best, acting like a ham. He is a cop who wants to be a lot like an actor and being in the reality show. De Niro is perfect as the straight man who thinks the whole thing is stupid. I thought the two of them had great chemistry and a perfect casting choice. Rene Russo is also a major producer of the television. Of course, he loves everything he does and Murphy tries so hard (with Murhpy) for going too DeNiro. Many respondents have played in the hilarious scene with William Shatner, reprising his role as TJ Hooker to train Murhpy and De Niro how to "act as police. But my favorite scene involves Murphy in the "confessional" the hope that it could obtain a police-Wesly Snipes as with the team instead of De Niro. Man, that was fun! Comedy often depend on personal tastes. Sure you could put holes in the plot, most of the time it takes a comedy. Psyched to see the link went to Murphy and De Niro ... I think it brought out the best of Murphy, which was good to see him at the top of his game again. I can only imagine that it was a great honor for Murphy to be paired with the great De Niro. | Despite all the negative criticism I liked this movie. I'm not saying this lightly. I love movies and I am very picky about them (my DVD collection is more than 9000 films - some are great, others are fine, some do not like at all). And for those who are critical: it is a comedy. I just love this movie. It is light, fun, and very restful. I am aware of all (or most) of the deficiencies, but I love it. The talents of comedian Eddie Murphy and Robert DeNiro are threaded (totally - this kind of film). Do not compare these films with star players, just enjoy it. The cast is great and I think that the purpose of this DVD movie Showtime was fully achieved. If you really want an "easy-going and very restful night - see this movie. DeNiro and Murphy just had fun making this movie, so we need to (seeing). And please, do not be so negative. Do not expect the performance or Godfather Meet DeNiro's parents, do not expect the results of box office comedy Murphy ... This is a completely different genre, and made me relax after a hard day's work. Can not be divided parts of laughter, but still very funny. |
| This is a fun movie. The Bob Show and Eddie feel the same could lead to a sequel, but I doubt that will make enough money. DeNiro shows that a great man can be straight back with some hilarious moments and spontaneous. Eddie was fun to see people who work with animals instead of CGI and rodents. Rene Russo, so just watch the fun anyway and it has played its part excellent. Some tricks and unusual wildlife, especially the garbage truck scene. This was worth seeing in the theater. We needed a good laugh and has many of the Showtime Action movie and takes away the high end. DO NOT LEAVE the start of the credits! At least a 7. |
