| Stylistically uneven, and a little rough around the edges, this You Kill Me Romance film is still a point of proposing unusual and interesting moral dilemma, emotional sensitivity to face some difficult issues, and wonderful, if somewhat one-dimensional, all performances the cast. Particularly notable is Bill Pullman as morally corrupt sleazy real estate drunk. There are some really great dialogue, but the mood is a bit flat and firm hand in everything. The second and third acts are more stringent than the first - or perhaps only one gets used to the quirkiness of the time. | I am one of the black comedy with more eccentricity and quirkiness of this movie. The pace was very slow, often with unnecessary characters and predictable dialogue and surface tension acting on an interesting wasted cast. Kingsley is someone who tends to do with curiosity, after seeing in the House of Sand and Fog and find it quite versatile. This time it seemed too dark comedy for me to handle, although I must say I found a few smiles and then here. Téa Leoni is amazing on paper, but somehow and Téa Leoni was not his character. Not surprisingly, I found annoying and stereotypical Pullman and Wilson, and even I was trying to experiment with ways to reassert its dialogue better. I will say that I did not understand the idea of a black comedy directly, but the story seemed to be going nowhere in any hurry. The dialog itself is almost absurd that the very interesting idea, and the hit-man was Kingsley character, but is a little, as if he were reading the lines as a drunk more than a bad hit-man . I prefer El Matador. While also taking completely different, the characters seem much more accessible and, above all, much more interesting. | Far from perfect absolutely charming with a great cast headed by Ben Kingsley as a hit-man with a drinking problem. Sent from Buffalo to San Francisco to dry when it blows a success, Kingsley attempts to get his life in order. Funny, touching and atypical, nobody is really a topic. As I have said is not perfect, meanders a bit too much and things the Mafia is a little worn, but still a charming movie. I believe that all things in the works thanks to excellent overall results. First, Ben Kingsley, who once again proves himself as one of the best comedic actors working today. This is one of those movies that you like with your heart rather than his head. This is one to watch and share with as many people as you can see it in force. |
